PTA Committee Chairs

Below is a listing of current Committee Chair positions. Some are filled but many are vacant. Please contact Chilain Backman if you are intested in a Committee chair position or the current committee chair if you are intested in volunteering to help. Thank you!

  • Membership Chair: Lynn Cudlipp: Recruit new members at meetings, sporting events, via emails, flyers, etc.
  • Webmaster: Sharolyn Buck Making the MVMS PTA website rock!
  • Reflections: Vacant - Nationally sponsored PTA art program - looking for members to help market this great program!
  • Historian Chair: Vacant - looking for Chair and members to take digital photos of school events, do an end of the year powerpoint, prepare on a DVD as a fund raiser for all students.
  • Journalist Chair: Chilain Backman Help write PTA monthly "Keeping Families informed" newsletter to include special student recognition, teacher interviews, and calendar upcoming events.
  • Social Chair: Lynn Cudlipp and Chilain Backman Help with Monster Mash, Talent Show, Entertainment night and more family fun events.
  • Grant Chair: Vacant -looking for Chair and members for student grants, year book grants, field trip grants. Included PTA fund and also writing professional state grants.
  • McTakeOver: Lynn Cudlipp Looking for members to help facilitate the McTakeOver for fund raising.
  • Field Day: Vacant - looking for Chair and members to facilitate games, prizes, refreshments, etc.
  • Visual Merchandiser: Vacant -Looking for members with creative thoughts to do bulletin boards and window dressing at the entrance to the schools and perhaps throughout the buildings.
  • Community Outreach: Vacant -Members to facilitate food banks, clothing drives and meet the needs of our student population and their families.
  • Community Partnership: Vacant - Members to reach out to businesses to financially support MVMS and the PTSA.
  • Escrip & Box Tops coordinator: Lynn Cudlipp Manage eScrip account and get more people to sign up for the program, this is free money that eScrip donates to schools, just by registering your Safeway club card and/or credit cards.
